IN A NEW POLL, VOTERS HAVE MIXED FEELING ABOUT GOVERNOR CUOMO. NEW YORK VOTERS HAVE MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT GOV. ANDREW CUOMO, ACCORDING TO A NEW SIENA COLLEGE POLL RELEASED TUESDAY.

THE MAJORITY OF NEW YORKERS—51%—SAY CUOMO HAS MADE THE STATE A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE SINCE HE TOOK OFFICE IN 2011.
VOTERS ALSO GAVE THE GOVERNOR HIS LOWEST-EVER FAVORABILITY RATING AT FORTY-THREE PERCENT. AS WELL AS S HIS LOWEST-EVER JOB PERFORMANCE RATING AT THIRTY-FOUR PERCENT.

THE POLL OF 810 REGISTERED NEW YORK VOTERS TOOK PLACE JULY 28 THROUGH AUG. 1 THROUGH CALLS TO LANDLINES AND CELL PHONES. IT HAS A MARGIN OF ERROR OF PLUS OR MINUS 4.1 PERCENTAGE POINTS.

LAWRENCE GREENE JR OF ROCHESTER MAN IS FACING FELONY CHARGES IN LIVINGSTON COUNTY, REPORTS THE LIVINGSTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE. GREENE JR WAS STOPPED ON INTERSTATE 390 FOR AN ALLEGED VIOLATION OF STATE VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC LAW. A RECORDS CHECK REVEALED THAT THE OPERATOR, GREENE JR., HAD HIS DRIVER’S LICENSE SUSPENDED OR REVOKED A TOTAL OF 19 TIMES.

GREENE JR WAS CHARGED WITH FIRST-DEGREE AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE AND VIOLATIONS OF VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC LAW. HE WAS ARRAIGNED AT THE LIVINGSTON COUNTY JAIL AND WAS REMANDED TO THE SHERRIFF’S CUSTODY.

NEXT YEAR DANSVILLE COULD BE HOSTING THE NITROS THE FORMER WELLSVILLE NEW YORK COLLEGIATE BASEBALL LEAGUE FRANCHISE. THE NITROS WENT ON A ONE-YEAR LEAVE OF ABSENCE IN 2019 AS THE TEAM OWNER STEVE ACKLEY WAS FIGURING OUT HOW TO KEEP THE TEAM IN THE AREA. THE NITROS FRANCHISE COULD BE BACK ON THE DIAMOND IN 2020.
