The Livingston county sheriff’s office has identified a man killed in a hit and run crash over then weekend ans deputies continue to look for the driver who ran him down, 24 year old Nicholas Ianelli was his as he walked along Rt 63 early Saturday morning and was pronounced dead at the scene. Ianelli was a 2016 graduate of SUNY Geneseo. Investigators say Inaelli was hit shortly after a 9 1 1 call about person wandering into the roadway south of Court St. Sheriff Thomas Doughery is asking anyone with information—especially anyone who might have surveillance video of the area round the time of the crash—to contact his office at 243-7100.
A Mt. Morris Police officer has turned in his badge. Police Chief Ken Mignemi says officer Jeremy Blair has resigned for personal reasons Officer Blair had been on the force since 2006 as a full time patrolman. Before that he worked four years for the state corrections department.
The state is paying more than 12-million-dollars to repave Finger Lakes Region roadways. Governor has Cuomo announced a statewide initiative to repave about 155 lane miles of local roads that took a beating this winter The 100-million-dollar Harsh Winter Paving Initiative is a supplement to nearly 300-million-dollars already committed to repaving New York roads.
A state report says the village of Danvsille need to keep a closer eye on its water and sewer system. Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli says the village should monitor the system more closely for losses and come up a with a plan for future infrastructure. eeds Mayor Pete Vogt says money is tight and that the village is doing what it can to keep all expenses down and still look to the future. The Mayor says one problem is the age of the system which results in water loss and that Village board is looking at ways to improve the water and sewer infrastructure.
The last time we saw gas prices this high was 2015. The average price for a gallon of gas in the area is about two-dollars and eighty-six cents. Analysts for the gas tracking website gas-buddy-dot-com say fuel prices will likely hit three-dollars a gallon by the summer. They say drivers could see prices start going down again by mid-June, but that this summer’s road trip will likely be more expensive than last year,
It may not cost that much to get ticket to hot concerts this summer. For the next week, Live Nation is selling 20-dollar tickets to thousands of shows across the country. It incluides about 20 shows at Darien Lake like Dead and Company, the Zac Brown Band and Slayer . The 20-dollar all-in tickets are part of National Concert Week.
