New Yorkers are fine with the state constitution staying the same. Yesterday voters soundly rejected a proposal to call a convention to look at making changes to the state’s political blueprint. Voters did approve a measure to allow judges to strip pensions of public officials convicted of a felony related to their duties. This will not apply to crimes committed before the end of this year. Top Livingston County officials ran unopposed and were re -elected—including Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Treasurer Amy Mann and County Coroners Robert Waltman and Shannon Griese They will all serve four year terms

North Dansville Incumbent Dennis Mahus was reelected to another four-year term as town supervisor. Incumbent Tim Wolfanger was elected to another four-year term as town clerk. Both were unopposed. Gregory Horr with 886 votes and Peter Bacon with 844 votes. to win terms on the town board They beat o Democratic challenger Chris Lynn, who had 355 votes. In Ossian Incumbent Dwight Knapp was elected to a four-year term as town supervisor. Incumbent clerk Stephen Rauber was reelected to another four-year term as town clerk. Incumbent Shaun Metcalfe was elected to another four-year term as highway superintendent. He had 223 votes.. Incumbent Gordan Wilson was elected to another four-year term as town justice with 217 votes.Three candidates sought two open seats on the town board. Republicans Patrick Jaeger and Louis Patane were the winners, followed by respectively. Democratic challenger Rhea Walker with 104 votes.
Sheriff’s Deputies have have arrested who was already banned from Wegmans in Genesoe and charged her with stealing razors and red bull energy drinks worth more than 200 dollars. 40 year old Christina Schulktz was taken to livingston county jail on $4,000 bond.
Two people have been busted fro drug posession on 390. Sheriff Thomas Dougherty says 48 year old Richard Spence of Hoplley was pulled over for a traffic stop and that deputies found pills and marijuanna in the car. A passenger, identified as 31 year old shane O’Mara was also arrested after officers say he gave them a false ID and had outstanding arrest warrants. Both men were taken to the county jail and held on bond
Saturday is Veterans Day. There will be no mail deleivery. Federal and State offices will observe the holiday on FRIDAY Veteran’s day is a remembrance of all U.S. military veterans – past and present. It is celebrated every November 11th, and has been a federal holiday since 1926.
