Wayland-Cohocton Sets Summer Hoop Camp


    Its never too early to be thinking about basketball….at least that’s what Wayland-Cohocton hoop coach Jeff Englert’s philosophy is. The dates have been set for the rapidly-approaching Wayland-Cohocton Basketball Camp which will be held at the Field House Monday through Thursday June 27th-30th. The camp is for boys & girls going into grades 3-8. Sessions will run from 9am till noon each day with top-notch guests & coaches on hand. Collegiate stand-outs Alyssa Englert-University of Hartford…Evan Englert- Carnegie Melon University…along with Section V Hall of Fame coach Al Best. Camp directors will be Jeff Englert & Steve Wager, with the staff consisting of program coaches Al Best, Brent Owens & Terry Brown.

    Coach Englert noted that there’ll be great instruction & opportunities to improve skills along with a chance to learn more about the game itself. There’ll be foul shooting contests, one-on-one, 2 on 2, hot-shot, elimination & some 5-on-5 games as well. A free camp t-shirt will be included with the registration fee of $60. per camper (if registered by June 18th). Late registrations will cost $65. Send checks made payable to “W.C.C.S.
