Union Hosers Flush St. George

    Victory Park in Wayland was the site of cross-over Little League baseball action as Union Hose went up the hill to take on St. George. The Hosers were ready to swing the bats & would score in every inning except the 5th in this one as coach Jim Sullivan’s squad claimed a convincing 14-2 win over the Morticians on the ball diamond.   Union hose plated a pair in the first, & the took control of things by plating 6 more runs in the 2nd inning en route to the victory.

    For Union Hose Mike Suydam threw the first 3-plus innings allowing no runs, no hits, while striking out 8 & walking just one. Devin  Douglas worked 2 innings & J.J. Crissy pitched the final frame for Union Hose. Offensively  Mike Suydam 2-4 with a homer, double, 3 runs, & stole 2 bases….Shane Crandall 2-3, double, 2 steals & a pair of runs scored….Jace Cassata homer, 2 runs & drove one in….J.J. Chrissy 4-5, triple, 3 doubles, scored a run….Allen Luxon stole one base & scored a run…Seth Malone 1-1 with a run scored…Eli Swyers  1-2 & scored one run….Timothy O’Toole 1-2….Jacob O’Toole scored a run…& Karter Everman 1-3, scored twice & had a stolen base.  For St. George, Thomas Palmer, Kyle Gammel, & Jacob Piffer each went to the hill…at the dish  Jacob Piffer & Andrew Aldrich each scored a run…& Tom Palmer went 1-1 in the setback for St. George’s.
