Protectives Rally Comes Up Short

In Dansville Little League baseball, coach Donnie Mosko’s club would wind up on the short side on Saturday & Wednesday as Protectives’ rally on Saturday came up just short against Jackson Hose…meanwhile LMC was ready to swing the bats as they opened up large lead early in their lopsided win on Wednesday.

Jackson Hose 11 Protectives 10

In this see-saw contest, both teams had the lead, but Jackson Hose would “turn it on” late in the game as they saw Pros take the lead 6-3 in the 4th inning, & then again 10-7 heading into the bottom of the 6th. In J.H.’s last at bat, they would put together a game-winning 4 run rally to defeat Protectives in a heartbreaker 11-10. For Protectives, they would get fine pitching from both Brady Race & Reid Martin who would both throw 3 innings. Martin registered 8 K’s, while Race struck out a half-dozen. Offensively for Pros Kyrstin Wolfanger, Nic Fisher, & Trevor Versluis each scored a pair of runs.

LMC 16 Pros 3

LMC came in & put crooked numbers up in every inning as they handily defeated Protectives 16-3. Pros would put up their runs in the game late as they would score one in the 3rd & 2 more in the 4th to break up the shutout bid. For coach Mosko’s team Logan Zepkowski was 1-2 & scored a run….Brady Race was 1-2 with a double, drove in a run & scored one….& Ty Schirmer also added a hit, scored once & drove one run in.
