Dansville Topples Bath in Boys Tennis

Dansville tennis coach Tracy Gregorius couldn’t be happier for her boys tennis team who toppled Bath on Monday (May 2) by shutting out the Rams by the net 5-0!

The victory gave the red & black a 5-1 mark on the season. The Mustangs saw Phillip Blum come away with an opening victory over Luke Snavely by scores of 6-2 & 6-1. The momentum continued to roll as Rhett Sullivan pushed to 5-0 on the season with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Brady Derick. Vito Blaco battled to get by Bath’s Sam Arnst 6-2, 5-7, & 6-3. Both doubles teams were victorious as well. In first doubles Arron Gerber & Daniel Howard put forth a great effort in overcoming the Rams’ Tommy George & Jonah Galligan. The Mustangs won the first set 6-4, dropped the 2nd set in a tiebreaker, before coming away with a 6-3 triumph in the final set. Dansville 2nd doubles pairing finished the day on a winning note as Nick Vogler & Arthur Fox double-teamed Steven Binkowski & Andres Warren with a lopsided win to close things out. Dansville’s tennis squad visits the Maple City on Wednesday (May 3) for Individual Sectional Qualifiers. Go Mustangs
