Keshequa Girls Bounce Back To Trip York

Keshequa 15 York 3

Following a 12-2 setback at the hands of Wayland-Cohocton on Wednesday (Apr. 20), the Keshequa girls softball team bounced back in a big way to bury York in Livingston County Division III action in Nunda in a 15-3 final. Coach Bill Mann’s club brought out the heavy lumber ( or in this case…heavy metal…) at the “Wig Wam on Walnut” as the orange & black battered York pitching. The Indians had a fine performance in the circle from Kayla Yencer who went the distance in recording the win limiting the Golden Knights to 3 runs while Keshequa was swinging hot bats in the ballgame. Offensively Kathryn Gelser was 4-4 with an rbi…Ashley Parthember went 3-5 with 2 rbis….& Jordan Kapelke drove in 3 runs while going 3-5
