Keshequa 10 Perry- Mt. Morris O
On Monday (Apr. 11) afternoon, the Keshequa baseball team scored early & often, while the Blue Jackets couldn’t muster a thing against the orange & black as the Indians were on the warpath early with the bats in a 10-0 white wash of Perry-Mt.. Morris in high school diamond action. Coach Ron Macomber’s Keshequa crew grabbed the lead on a clutch 2-out single in the first by Brock Allen who drove in Connor Mann who reached base on a fielding miscue. The orange & black swung the bats in the 2nd as they would bat-around & plate 7 big runs to break the game wide-open en route to the 10-run shutout of the home team.
Keshequa’s (1-1) Nick Wood would record the pitching victory after going 5 strong innings allowing just one hit while fanning 5 & walking 3. Colton Davis mopped up with a pair of shutout innings in relief giving up 1 hit, while striking out 2 & walking 1. The Indians offense was led by Brock Allen’s 2-4 day with a trio of runs batted in…& scored twice…while Connor Mann also scored a couple runs in the victory. Keshequa visits Avon on Wednesday (Apr. 13) afternoon.
