The Keshequa varsity baseball team brought the big bats to the Red Raider Rotunda on Wednesday & battered Cal-Mum pitching in a lopsided 14-1 affair. After scoring a single run in the top of the first when Connor Mann stole a base forcing a throwing error to give the visitors the lead. After that, the orange & black were scoring runs in bunches. In the 2nd they would tack on 3 more as Connor Mann drove in a pair on a single. Colton Davis would also drive in a run with a hit for the Indians. In the 4th coach Ron Macomber’s crew scored 3 more as Austin Galton walked with the bases jammed to push home a run. Brock Allen then broke things open with a 2-run single making it a 7-0 lead. Connor Mann knocked in another run with a single in the 5th, & then the Indians would load the bases again. Austin Galton drilled a triple to clear the bases making it 11-0. Finally in the 7th a pair of errors allowed a couple more runs to cross the plate & then Nick Wood capped the scoring with an rbi single. Austin Galton notched the win on the hill working 5 innings, allowing just 3 hits while fanning 5. Colton Davis pitched the last 2 innings giving up 1 earned run on a hit while striking out 2.
Keshequa (6-5, 3-1) visits Letchworth on Thursday (Apr. 28).
