Dansville 10 Pavilion 3
On Wednesday (Apr. 27) afternoon, the Dansville offensive attack got going in a hurry at Babcock Park as the Mustangs baseball team put up a large lead early in the game & pushed above the .500 mark with a 10-3 victory over the visiting Pavilion Golden Gophers. Dansville swung the bats well in the game, as the arms were also effective…which, in turn, keeps the defense on their toes. All 3 aspects came together in this one for the Mustangs in the home victory which comes on “get away” day as the red & black visit Dwyer Stadium in Batavia to take on Notre Dame on Thursday (Apr. 28), & then head to Livonia to battle the Bulldogs at Baker Field on Friday (Apr. 29).
For Dansville ( 5-4) Derrick Wampole threw the first 3 innings of shutout baseball as he gave up no runs, no hits & struck out 3. Hunter Stone came on & tossed 4 innings of relief giving up 3 runs on 2 hits while striking out 4. None of the runs were earned. At the plate Alex West led the Dansville attack with 3 hits including a bases clearing triple, a double, 4 rbis & scored 3 runs…Anthony Kanaval added a pair of hits including a double….Hunter Little & Holden Schramm each doubled…while Tom Linzy, Justin Vogt & Hunter Stone each added hits in the offensive outburst for the Mustangs
