The Dansville girls basketball team celebrated “senior night”….for about the first 5 minutes of Tuesday night’s (Feb. 9 ) game….after that, it was all about the Rams! Coach Randy Abrams visiting Bath team would put on a “furious” 17 point run at the end of the first quarter to reverse the evening’s momentum as the blue & white rolled on to a 53-31 victory on the road to close out the regular season. After Dansville seniors Ally Bacon, Sabrina Didas, Vittoria Salomone, Brooke Hartson, & Bri Henchen along with Bath seniors Olivia Fitzwater, & Madelyn Czajkowski took a bow….it was on to the hardwood. Coach Kristen Moose’s club came out strong as Sabrina Didas, & Brooke Hartson hit deuces, & Bri Henchen buried a “3” that put the Mustangs in front 7-3 with 3:15 left in the first quarter. In the next 2 1/2 minutes the Mustangs momentum came to an abrupt halt ! Bath would score the next 17 unanswered points to turn the tables to the Rams advantage now at 20-7 with :39 remaining in the quarter! Madeylyn Czajkowski scored 9 points, Jadyn Abrams had 7 while Morgan Hess & Mackenna Taggart hit a few free throws & it was 20-9 after the first 8 minutes. Jadyn Abrams stayed hot in the 2nd with 7 more points as the Rams doubled up Dansville 12-6 to take a sizable 32-15 lead into the locker room at the half. The 2nd half didn’t slow the Rams down any as Jadyn Abrams scored 10 more points in the 3rd to up the lead to 20 in the game. The Rams would ride the storm out for a convincing 53-31 win to close out their season at 11-9 as they enter the Class B-1 Sectionals.

Bath was led by sophomore sensation Jadyn Abrams who hit a trio of “treys” & finished with 27 points…Madelyn Czajkowski netted 12…Mackenna Taggart, Olivia Fitzwater & Morgan Hess had 4 apiece…while Samantha Lewis added 2. The Rams are hopeful of having junior point guard Alex Siebert back for the post-season after breaking her wrist early in the season. Dansville ( 4-16) will await their fate in the Class B-2 post season following the season-ending setback that saw Abby Kuhn score 8 points, Sabrina Didas netted 7, Hope Didas 6, Meghan Waters 3, as Ally Bacon & Brooke Hartson scored 2 each in the season’s finale.
