Dansville J.V. Girls Finish at 17-3

Dansville JV 60 Bath-Haverling 39

If you would have told Dansville junior varsity girls basketball coach Mike Didas that his team would wind up this season at 17-3…he would have told you “you’ve got to be kidding me?!” However, this team molded together & put together a lot of pieces & produced a squad that was highly successful despite numerous call-ups to the varsity throughout the course of the season, which changes the chemistry constantly. On Tuesday (Feb. 9) night the lady Mustangs defeated visiting Bath at “the Corral” handily by a 60-39 final to complete their season. Coach Didas reflected back on the game…” we used a familiar recipe for success by using pressure man-to-man defense to force Bath into numerous turnovers helping us to a 16-4 lead in the first quarter.” Dansville never looked back as they let 23-12 at the half & cruised in the 2nd half to the win. Didas added, ” we used a motion offense & good passing to cut up Bath’s zone while holding a decisive advantage on the boards. ” Didas praised the high work ethic & the cohesiveness of the successful squad….” this group of girls epitomizes the true meaning of the word “team” in every sense. Its been a pleasure to coach these girls…great season ladies !”
