Keshequa 33 York 28
Who says “being stingy” was a bad thing? Not when you’re Keshequa girls hoop coach Pete Piraino. His girls clamped down on York’s offense on Wednesday (Dec. 23) night & they put on a 12-5 spurt in the 2nd quarter which would hold up in the end in a 33-28 win at the “Indians Reservation.” The 2 teams drew a pair of “7’s” in the opening period, but the Indians went on the warpath in the 2nd to take a 19-12 lead. Neither team started the world on fire offensively in a 5-4 3rd quarter. The orange & black tarnished the Golden Knights in the 4th to hold on for a hard-fought 33-28 win.
