The 2015 high school volleyball season came to a close on Wednesday night for the young & rebuilding Wayland-Cohocton Golden Eagles. Coach Jenny Jeroome’s club squared off against a familiar foe in the opening of the section V tournament as they drew the Livonia Bulldogs. The maroon & gold found going rough at “the Dog House” as the home team took care of business in three straight games to finish Way-Coh’s season.
For the Golden Eagles (5-15 overall…2-7 in the league)…Addie Kelly had 10 service points, an ace, a kill & 26 digs….while Shailynn Celentano mustered 14 service points, 6 aces & a dozen digs. Coach Jerome thanked all the players for their hard work & dedication to the program, as well as all the parents, officials, school personnel, & sponsors for supporting the team.
