Keshequa 4 Caledonia-Mumford 0
On Thursday (Oct. 8) the Keshequa boys soccer team moved to 10-0-2 on the season with a 4-0 shutout over the visiting Cal-Mum Red Raiders at Kiwanis Park in Nunda. The orange & black got the scoring going early in the game as 9 minutes in, Dustyn Zangerle would slide a nice ball to Bryce Bennett who finished it from about 10 yards away giving the Indians the lead which they would never relinquish. It was almost like “rapid fire” as 2 minutes later Keshequa did it again as Connor Mann supplied the pass & Dustyn Zangerle would supply the goal. At the 15 minute mark coach Ron Macomber’s team would complete a run with a trio of goals in just 6 minutes. The final score of the half saw Dustyn Zangerle feed Damon Rathbun for a one-timer that found the mark making it 3-0 at the half. Coach Ron’s club finished the job just 13 seconds into the 2nd half when the Zangerle to Rathbun connection “clicked” once more to make the final a 4-0 score as Keshequa out shot Cal-Mum 34-3 as Austin Galton recorded the shutout with 3 saves in net. Keshequa hosts Mt. Morris in a route 408 battle on Saturday (Oct. 10) afternoon at 4pm.
