Keshequa 1 Avon O

Strangely enough the Keshequa girls soccer team got off to a slow start this fall, but now that coach Pat Forrester’s team is starting to roll, they’re looking like the Indians of old. The orange & black captured their 3rd win on Monday (Sept. 28) night….each of those victories have been via the “shutout” route. The Indians hosted their “blood brothers” the Braves from Avon & came away with a hard fought 1-0 triumph at Kiwanis Park. Keshequa’s lone score came in the 28th minute of the first half when Allison Brickwood bagged what would be the game-winnner.

Keshequa (3-4-3) saw Payton Powers get the shutout with 12 saves in goal while Amy Faville was in goal for Avon ( 4-5-1). The Braves host Pavilion on Wednesday (Sept. 30), while Keshequa travels to Leroy on Wednesday at 6:30pm in a clash with the Oakten Knights.
