Keshequa Girls Blank Blue Devils in Mt. Morris

Keshequa 2 Mt . Morris 0

In a Saturday night date (Sept. 26) at Bellamy Park in Mt. Morris everything came in deuces for coach Pat Forrester & her Indians team as they claimed their 2nd win by defeating route 408 rival Mt. Morris by a 2-0 count as the orange & black scored twice mid-way in the 2nd half to win it. It was all “defense” in the first half of action as a pair of goose eggs hung on the board. There wasn’t much different in the last 40 minutes with the exception of Keshequa’s Cameryn Bugman igniting the offense with 2 quick goals…both unassisted, & scored 17 minutes into the 2nd half & again at the mid-way point of the 2nd stanza. That’s all there would be offensively in the game. Keshequa (2-4) out shot Mt. Morris 18-2 in the contest as Indians keeper Payton Powers recorded her 2nd shutout while making 2 saves. Rose D’Angelo was in net for Mt. Morris ( 5-3) and made 16 saves in the game. Keshequa hosts Avon on Monday (Sept. 28) at 6:30pm, while Mt. Morris visits Lima Christian on Tuesday (Sept. 29) at 4:30pm.
