Keshequa and Leroy Boys Tie

Keshequa 2 Leroy 2

A pair of forces in Livingston County boys soccer clashed at Hartwood Park on Tuesday night (Sept. 29) & as fate would have it Leroy & Keshequa wound up in 2-2 tie in the rain & the mud. Both teams battled the same conditions, but this time Coach Ron Macomber’s group would wind up deadlocked after overtime. The Indians netted a goal in each half as Damon Rathburn scored at the 20 minute mark of the first half getting Keshequa on the board. In the 2nd half about 7 minutes in, Bryce Bennett took a pass from Dustyn Zangerle & converted. Neither team would find the net after that as the game was a “back & forth” affair through the extra session.

Keshequa (8-0-1) would outshoot the Knights 19-13 as Indians keeper Austin Galton had 11 saves, & Dillon Amo made 17 stops for Leroy (8-2-1). The red & black will travel to Hornell for a 6pm date on Saturday night (Oct. 3) with the Red Raiders. Keshequa will visit Warsaw on Thursday (Oct. 1) for a 6:30pm date with the Tigers.
