Sportcaster Pat Summerall has died

HERE WE GO STEELERS!Pat Summerall, the NFL player-turned-broadcaster whose deep, resonant voice called games for more than 40 years, has died.  at the age of 82.

Summerall started doing NFL games for CBS in 1964 and worked side by side for 21 years with his long – time partner John Madden.  Summerall also played 10 NFL seasons (1952-61) with the Chicago Cardinals and New York Giants.    Pat Summerall died yesterday at the age of 82.

Rutgers basketball coach fired

Rutgers University fired basketball coach Mike Rice on Wednesday after a videotape aired on ESPN showing him shoving, grabbing and throwing balls at players in practice and using gay slurs.

There will be a national search for a replacement.

Jimmie Johnson has won the 55th Daytona 500. Johnson held off a hard-charging Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the final lap to prevail in his 400th career start.
