The time card investigation at the Livingston County jail has landed nine more people in trouble. Sheriff Tom Dougherty says 8 deputies were suspended without pay for periods of 30 to 60 days and one other person was demoted. He told the Livingston County News as far as he’s concerned the investigation is finished. The county administrator says he’s satisfied with the sheriff’s actions against those who cheated on their time cards. Last month nine former deputies were charged in court. Eight pleaded guilty and the ninth will be back in court later this month. All had resigned from the sheriff’s office before they were charged. This latest investigation has resulted in no criminal charges.
