Speeding Controversy For Rochester’s Mayor. Was Her Driver Doing 97 MPH?

Rochester’s new mayor is raising eyebrows. Mayor Lovely Warren’s driver was stopped last week by state police for chauffering the mayor at a high speed. News10NBC says they were zipping along at 97 miles an hour.

The mayor insists it wasn’t quite that fast, but she did say her driver was speeding. Warren’s uncle is her driver, he is a former state police officer.

State police issued a statement that says speeding is not condoned, but the officer used his discretion in not writing a ticket to Warren’s driver.

Warren has only been in office two weeks and she’s already come under fire for hiring a driver and a security guard.
