Turning an old school into public housing for the elderly. That may happen in Hornell with the old Lincoln School building.

A developer is considering turning the school into an apartment building — for people 55 and older who get federal help on their rent.

It would be an $8 million dollar project. The developer from Rochester hopes to get money from the state to cover part of the cost of construction.
