A lawyer had challenged the way the issue is worded on the ballot because it almost sounds like a campaign ad, promising jobs and lower taxes. But a Supreme Court justice said the lawsuit was filed too late to stop the voting.
The gambling industry spent more than $2 million on campaign contributions for politicians in Albany to get the issue on the ballot and they gave governor Cuomo alot of money for his campaign…more than a quarter million dollars. And Cuomo has been aggressively pushing the casinos.
