Federal Shutdown Will Impact Local Food Banks

Day-7 of the federal shutdown. And one place feeling the affect is Foodlink. That’s the group that provides food for the needy in ten counties in our area.

Federal money helps pay for much of the food that Foodlink distributes, and the money, of course, has dried up with the shutdown. The head of Foodlink says they have food on hand for now, but it’s going fast, and without the federal dollars, she says it will impact people who need help putting meals on the table.
