8th grade math test requirements may change

New York’s 8th graders would be able to skip the state math test if they take the algebra Regents test. The Wall Street Journal reports the state will have to get the ok from the U.S Dept of Education first and they have to do it by November 22nd. The state Education Department will ask the Board of Regents on Monday .
Students in New York have to take five Regents tests in order to graduate from high school.
