Meeting Over Proposed Tax Hike In York Central School District

A meeting tonight in where residents can give their opinions on paying higher property tax for improvments at York Central School.

The district will ask voters for just over 5-million dollars for several projects at the school…including replacing more than 60,000 square foot of leaking roof. The actual vote for district residents is on the 24th. If approved, it would raise the average tax bill in the school district by roughly $15 a year.
