Keshequa 20 Avon 1

How long does it take Keshequa’s offense to put a game out of reach? Ask the Avon Lady Braves. On Monday (May 13) at the Home of the Braves, the Indians took no prisoners when it came to their blood-brothers (or sisters in this case). Keshequa visited Avon in girls softball and put up a huge ten-run 2nd inning to take full control of this one, which would end in a 20-1 count in favor of the orange & black. The victory pushes coach Martha Blair’s club to 15-0 on the season with a trio of games left to play.
Alex Flint toed the slab and came away with the win in a complete game, two-hit effort. Over the five innings Alex allowed no runs while striking out eleven and walking none in gaining the victory. On the offensive side the Indians had a number of great nights highlighted by Tessa Gordinier’s 2-4 with a homer, triple, three rbis and four runs scored. Alex Flint backed her own cause 3-4 with a pair of rbis and scored three times. Gabe Mehlenbacher 3-5 with a trio of rbis and scored a run. With two hits apiece were Kristen Jackson (three runs, rbi), Haley Russell (double, three runs), Kate Forrester (double, run). With a hit each were Grace Mehlenbacher (run), Kylie Blanchard (three runs), Ariel Wood (two rbis, run).
