Two from Leroy charged with burglary and theft

28-year-old Michael Nicometo, of Leroy, and 22-year-old Jonathan Smoak, of Batavia are both facing charges of burglary, grand larceny and criminal mischief. Police say they caused more than $32,000 dollars worth of damage after stealing copper wire from the Dolomite facility in Leroy.

The men stole a significant amount of copper wire from the facility after cutting it from the electrical system.

They are now in the Genesee County Jail.
