Teen driver indicted in serious crash with school pleads not guilty

The teen driver indicted on several felony charges after an October crash in Brighton  that left three of his passengers seriously injured, pleaded not guilty in court yesterday.

John Zakhary, 16, was indicted on assault, reckless driving and several traffic violations by a grand jury as a result of the accident where he slammed into the back of a shool bus

Zakhary was released from custody but on several conditions, including surrendering his junior license.

If convicted, he faces up to 7 years in prison.
