The Wall Street Journal is reporting that that Eastman Kodak has received an offer of more than half a billion dollars for its portfolio of digital patents however, a deal has not yet been reached.

The offer came from what is being called an unidentified “consortium of bidders,” including Silicon Valley tech companies and firms.

Selling those patents for $500 million was a condition of a recent financing offer that Kodak accepted worth about $830 million to help the company emerge from bankruptcy.
