Two Sheriff’s Departments investigate stolen vehicles in Genesee and Livingston Counties

Sheriff’s Deputies in Genesee County are looking for information regarding a series of thefts from more than 20 vehicles in the Town of LeRoy.

Deputies say between 11 p.m. Monday and 2 a.m. Tuesday, someone entered unlocked vehicles in the Linwood Road area and stole items like iPods, GPS units, clothing items and cash.

In addition, a Mercedes was stolen from Route 5 in Leroy and later located in Caledonia. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office then received a stolen car report from where that Mercedes was found. That vehicle vehicle is described as a light blue KIA Sadona minivan with the plate number of APP-4490.
