BREAKING NEWS: One Death Confirmed In Corning Helicopter Crash; Aircraft Used By NYSEG

A helicopter crashed into an embankment near the Chemung River in Corning before noon today. One person was killed in the incident.

The aircraft was being used by New York State Electric & Gas to inspect transmission lines. The helicopter is not owned by NYSEG; this is a contracted service.

NYSEG officials are on scene and cooperating with the authorities that are investigating the crash.

Its unknown at this time who was killed in the crash.
