Three people had to be rescued from a pick-up truck,   using the “jaws of life” after being trapped when it crashed and flipped on its side on Route 53 near Reservoir Rd in Naples just after 8:00 this morning.

Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies say the pickup lost control, hit an embankment and then flipped over.

A male front seat passenger was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight. The driver, who is a woman in her 60’s, and a male passenger sitting in the back seat of the truck,  were taken to Strong by ambulance.  Names have not yet been released but we at WDNY / MY93-9 FM  were told everyone is from Naples and are expected to be okay.

According to the Deputies on scene, the driver and the front seat passenger were both wearing seat belts, but its unknown about the rear passenger. .

Sheriff’s Deputies are looking into what caused the driver to lose control.
