Court proceedings began yesterday for the 11 SUNY Geneseo students that were charged with hazing and unlawfully dealing with a child after an alleged hazing incident that took over the Labor Day weekend.
Everyone entered not guilty pleas and the Judge set a court date for November 13th.
The charges come after a student was hospitalized when she was forced to drink for several hours. Police say the other underage students, one as young as 17 at the time, were allegedly blindfolded, handcuffed, and ordered to drink as part of initiation for the women’s volleyball team.
A spokesperson said the college has received documents to proceed with disciplinary action for those involved but there’s no word yet if that will include suspension
