Bow season for deer opens in NY

Bow hunting for deer in New York’s Southern Zone is open, two weeks earlier than normal.

The new changes were  was adopted this year by the Department of Environmental Conservation.

Another rule change allows 14 and 15 year olds to now carry firearms or crossbows, with a license. They will be allowed  to shoot one deer if accompanied by a licensed adult.
