Nunda nursing assistant arrested for stealing from a resident and lying to deputies

Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies report the arrest of a Nunda woman who was employed as an adult caregiver after she allegedly stole from residents at a local nursing facility.

Tameka Maynard, 22, was charged with petit larceny and two counts of making an apparently sworn false statement after she allegedly stole two rings from a resident under her direct care and then lied to investigators from the sheriff’s office all three charges are class A misdemeanors.  Maynard was employed as a certified nursing assistant who was responsible with caring for elderly residents.

Maynard was arrested and arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Mt. Morris town court and was released. She will reappear in court at a later date.
